Making Anti-Racism Work Possible

Funding Your School's Anti-Racist Journey

Accessing high-quality resources and training shouldn’t be out of reach. Many schools have successfully funded their participation in the Action Research Programme and purchased curriculum resources through national and local funding streams.

Here are a few routes to explore:

Grants to develop support for the Curriculum for Wales for settings aged 3-16

Schools can apply to fund curriculum design work, which could include embedding anti-racist content or practices.

Research funding (£15,000–£500,000) on racial diversity, migration, arrivals, and legacies.

If your school is evaluating your anti-racist practice, or creating resources/tools, this could be relevant.

Funding for projects that address racial justice in the UK including organisational change, research, and practice.

Good fit for schools doing work with students, staff, community, looking to expand or deepen practice.

Funds projects embedding inclusive education and addressing racial inequalities.

Could be used to support internal audits, inclusive curriculum development, or teacher training in anti-racism.

Funding given to schools to cover costs of staff training, supply cover, collaborative planning etc.

Schools can use this to pay for time out of class, collaborative planning, or bringing in external CPD related to anti-racism.
