Equilead Programme

September 2025-July 2026

The EquiLead Programme is a structured, supportive journey for school leaders in the UK who are committed to embedding anti-racist practice in their schools. This 1eleven-month programme combines peer support, practical tools, and monthly thematic focus areas to help transform intentions into sustainable, whole-school action.

Each month, leaders explore a key area—from curriculum review and staff development to student voice and inclusive recruitment—using guided resources and check-ins with an accountability partner.

Every month includes a dedicated space to ask questions, share challenges, and engage in discussion. Whether you’re looking for feedback, inspiration, or clarity, you’ll be able to connect with others on the same journey—and I’ll be checking in regularly to answer and support you directly.

September: Programme Launch & Partnership Building

Start strong by setting your anti-racist goals and building a supportive accountability partnership that will anchor your journey.

October: Vision, Values & Policy Review

Review your school’s mission and policies to ensure they truly reflect your commitment to anti-racist values.

November: Curriculum Audit & Representation

Explore whose voices are present (and missing) in your curriculum, and take steps to diversify content and materials.

December: Staff Development & Whole-School Culture

Support your team with inclusive CPD and build a culture where anti-racism is everyone’s responsibility.

January: Student Voice & Leadership

Center student experiences and empower young people to be leaders in anti-racist work within your school.

February: Mid-Programme Review

Pause, reflect, and refocus. This month is your checkpoint to realign your goals and strategies for the second half.

March: Parental & Community Engagement

Strengthen your school’s relationships with families and local communities through inclusive communication and collaboration.

April: Inclusive Recruitment & Staffing

Make your hiring processes more inclusive, from adverts to induction, and plan for more representative leadership.

May: Measuring Impact

Gather feedback, track progress, and reflect on how your efforts are shaping change across the school.

June: Sustaining the Work

Create a long-term strategy to embed anti-racism into your school’s systems, planning, and everyday culture.

July: Programme Closure & Celebration

Reflect, celebrate, and share your journey. This final phase supports legacy-building and setting future intentions.
